The second part of the Futureshop.ca tales, is my Tale of Tech Love.
I will admit that I had trouble deciding on this one. There have been a few things that I have loved from day one. Nintendo 3DS, our laptop, a great multipurpose printer/scanner, but I think the single item I owe the most love, was a coffee maker.
This wasn't a run of a mill coffee maker, it was high tech at the time (for me, at least). It had a clock, timer, different brewing options. It wasn't an expensive cappuccino & espresso maker, it just did coffee. It was so much more than "just" a coffee maker though.
There was nothing like waking up each morning before the alarm went off, to the smell of freshly brewed coffee. It kept me caffeinated from morning to early evening. I was happy with just about every pot that it brewed, and it managed to live 3 times longer than any of the standard coffee makers I had used in the past. It truly is a piece of technology that changed my life while I had it.
Perhaps my thoughts would be different if I didn't have such a strong affection for the strange brew, I'll never know.
